Is it better to stop at 4 stars as the absolute max instead of 5 for training quality? ( I know 3 stars is the standard for major attributes)

Is 5 stars a case of diminishing returns?

Should never 4 star anything, not worth the cost

5star only (and maybe only) for a K/P for the Kick/Punt attribute and maybe QB for throwing. And those are all very big maybe's

Agree Bane. And if ya just GOTTA go with 5 stars on any skill, make it your #2 skill (unless you're one of those that permanently slots your primary skill in your multi-training... then go with Primary). You'll be able to get your #2 skill up higher with less SP's allowing you to use those on your other needed skills and SA's.

In the case of 5-starring an attribute, I'd actually prefer it on a position with 5 majors. In the situation of 3 major positions, your ALG's are so high that they make your 5-star expense a bit of a waste. The attribute gets to 100 too quickly and you run into the issue of the training for that attribute dropping to 1%.

If you 5-star a primary on a WR, for example, it provides ample training time at that 5-star level.

for the record... this is also sort of a crazy question.

There's too many other variables.

The primary one is your end goal for the attribute in question. Are you trying to make a 170 Speed WR?

A similar consideration is: what is your training regimen? The length of time and type of training determines if 4 or 5 stars is worth the investment.

The rule of thumb is 3 stars, but you seem to know that already.

Think of it this way... 3 Stars costs a total of 36 BTs (6+12+18). 5 Stars costs an additional 54 BTs (24+30). In order to make up the difference in BTs gained from training, you have to shift from 4-way training to Light training 18 days earlier.
