It'd be nice if there was some way for new players to know who they were getting advice from and/or the likelihood that advice was good or not.

Maybe some kind of star based thing with half star increments, or even just a simple 1 to 10 scale.

How do those ratings get determined? Mod vote combined with agents votes..? Not everyone would need a rating. Maybe it'd be by application..?

In a perfect world, your system would be awesome...

but I see too many people rating people low stars just because they don't like them etc. I think I'd be more for a publicly visible rating on the advice post itself in FAQ forum only.

something like someone says:
"You should light train at the start so that you can unlock 4-way mutli train!"

and you'd see other people:
"Chysil rates this advice 3 out of 10"
"B1G rates this advice 1 out of 10"
"Shocks rates this advice 10 out of 10" (just to keep with the shocks joke )

I mean... you'd still get people rating good advice bad and bad advice good based on jokes, personal grudges etc... but it'd be a rating on the advice. Also you are rating advice and not necessarily the user, which should make it less personal, and hopefully less likely to hurt feelings.

I thought Bort got rid of the "rate my player" forum 3 years ago.

Seems cool.
+1 to have this in FAQ, Rate My Player and Position Talk.

I dont see anything wrong with a users comment page buried a bit. a link close to a users name on his homepage that takes you to a page where other uses can leave a one time comment. it can give a basic idea of what a user is about. could help better define personalities and stuff. good bad andugly...onetime tho

Or we could just acknowledge that this is the internet and that this suggestion won't work well with this userbase and be done with it.
