My team got demoted to Prep League 4. All the players I talked to are day zero. I tried to send out offers this morning thinking I could sign them but it said they had to be between (ages) 1-40 days.

What day will they start aging, so I can sign them? Will I be able to sign them or should I buy a new team in a different league?


UPDATE: Just read that they start aging day one of the season. I don't want to wait, since I'm sure my agents will sign with another team. I'm thinking I can buy a new team in another league and sell mine. Am I correct that a Rookie league team is the one to buy?

Yes Rookiw is the way to go, you can sign day 0 players. Make sure to buy before you sell.

There are no rookie teams. I guess I can buy a pee wee team and then trade guys over to the other team.

Pee Wee and Rookie are NOT the same thing. I DEFINITELY wouldn't buy a Pee Wee team, because you'll lose a lot of your recruits that way.

Just wait. There will be Rookie teams available in the next day or two. They always add more.

EDIT: I'd also PM your recruits and let them know what's going on. They'll wait for you. Have some faith.

But you definitely don't want to buy a Pee Wee team now and try to trade all the dots over to a Rookie team later. There's all sorts of restrictions on trading that will make that impossible, and then you'll be stuck.

Just be patient. You'll get a Rookie team in the next couple of days.

Wait a couple of days, buy a Rookie team, and then sell your Prep and Pee Wee teams. As Alex mentioned above, make sure you buy the Rookie team first, before selling the other teams.

Thanks. When I sell the PeeWee team can the dots choose to leave my team? Or can I release them prior to selling and then resign them with on the Rookie team?

Once you sell the Pee Wee team, any dots on the roster will be free agents.

I forget the rules on releasing players, but I think there's a waiting period for releasing dots after you've signed them. So if your Pee Wee team has any outstanding offers, I'd Retract them right now. But once your Pee Wee team gets sold, any dots on the roster will be free to accept an offer from your Rookie team.

Maybe once the season starts. I know I created and signed players for my pee wee team and screwed up the training on a couple of them so I cut them and retired them and built new ones all within an hour so not sure about that rule.

Buy the rookie team first, then sell the peewee team. Because if you sell the peewee team first you won't be able to buy a team for 21 days.
