I have a player one that is too old for the team I want to play for. If I sit him for a season (don't sign a contract, don't play, don't train) does he still age or will the aging pause? Thanks

No team= no nightly training points and no game XP , can't even train when your dot is not on a team(except in off-season can train and get TP)

So yea, bad idea.

If team you want to play for keeps advancing in the leagues as it's roster ages, eventually you can sign with them.
I think it is at RegionalPro Level when the max age cap is removed.
