Can they be purchased with a Visa or American Express gift card?

Visa yes, not sure about the other

Don't see why not, if they except the regular credit card of that company there is no reason they would not accept the gift card. However I do not know of AE is accepted at all so u would have to check

You won't be able to use it right away without first registering your name/address to the gift card. There's usually a website on the back of the card for you to do this.

Also, if you have a $25 gift card, don't try and buy the $24.99 flex package. There's usually a ~dollar that PayPal probes with (it gets refunded to you, it's a temp hold).

Also, to go with what Romo said, I've never had any luck with a Vanilla Visa whether registered or not. Check and make sure it is not one of them.

That is strange. I used to play the game back in S6 (Lost my email from that time, username and password bleh) and I bought Flex with Vanilla Visa.
