Ok I voted, but you posted this in the wrong forum IMO.
Not sure I've seen that before though.

Maybe the first "move" was a "fake" to make his chasers go the wrong way... but the only explanation I can muster for his subsequent "super slow down" near the goalline is he's exhausted and has lost all his speed... or he's mocking his pursuers. (AKA, showboating... as the Op suggests.)

I have seen that many times over the years. I bet that his energy was low at the start of the play and he hit 10 about the time he slowed down. It is very common on long plays, especially on ST.

The "WONK" occurs around the 27 YL
If you want to see this, let me know and I will shoot over a GM invite... some serious hoodoo going on in this one.
Thanks for posting this as it can now replace the one I had that has recently been deleted.

True. But considering the time in the game when it happened, I kinda thought he had decent enough energy.

And confirmed. Usually, when I see a return dot lose speed it's when they're both young and trying to turn to "shake off a defender" behind them that they seem to assume is "closing on them". I've even had it happen to my returners when they're still kinda green still. Speed is high but agility still has some catching up to do. But I'd also guess hoke's returner has enough agility by this time that that also shouldn't've caused an issue. So I just don't have an explanation for the dot's actions... excpet that he's "taunting"... which should be a VA IMO.
