Let's say, for the sake of argument, that weight DOES effect jumping. Since JUMPING has the absolute greatest effect on jumping... and height has the second greatest effect on jumping... then weight would have, at BEST, the 3rd greatest effect. That means, most likely, it would have around the same effect as adding blocking to defensive linemen in order to break blocks more effectively. Which is to say... extremely limited in it's effect. MAYBE you lose 1/2 of an inch on your vertical. Maybe. My 2 centavos.

Just cause someone is lighter or heavier doesnt mean they can jump or not. Another good example is LeBron James. Dude is 260+lbs and prob easily a 42ish or so inch vertical. Which is higher than the majority of the people who weight less.

These are not really that special, basically jumped approx. 2 feet if even that in the air. This has more to do with flexibility and launch power.

Wonder if his vertical is any better than the others at the NFL combine...

Let me go check for the results, be back in a few.

But D. Moch got him in the vert and broad jump (6'1 248lbs compared to JJ's 6'5 290lbs)

I'd say don't use real world logic to judge dotball.
