I would agree if the dropdown said "default". However, it says "no preset" instead of "default" when doing a quick scrim.

for quick scrims and using your own AI.

go to team tactics, play calling AI, depending if your AI is team ai or your own ai click that tab, beside it you can set it as active default and not have to use tactics calendar.

that is the first thing I checked, thinking someone deactivated my AI, saw it was default. Figured maybe the owner turned it off for 1 scrim for some reason. Then scrim 2 the same thing happened. Bottom line, quick scrims "active default" is not the default, "no preset" is.

Use the AI tester for the situations where "weird" plays are being called.

It's not the QB's tactics. There was no QB runs set for the 1st Qtr, and the passing QB ran as well....on 4th down.

Are you using the preset Depth chart? I had some major unresolved issues with that a few games back. Custom slots all screwed up and then the Kicker was our QB for the game.

As far as the offense running plays you don't have in your AI, take those plays out of your playbook, because if, by some chance you're in a situation where your basic settings are used, it'll pull a random play up. I had this issue a few seasons back and after I pulled those plays from my playbook I quit having the surprise play calls.

I ran into that problem too. I just stopped using the default depth charts and just used the custom ones. Never had the problem with defense, only on offense.

My problem is with the default depth chart. I change it, but it keeps reverting back. The custom works just fine.

It might be switching to a basic OAI for a play or two, but it shouldn't. But even if it does, I have a 0% setting for QB rushes.

I had this with a team last season... got rid of all the pre sets in the end and the problem went away..
