I know of a few people that have been perma forum banned for a very long time. Is there ever going to be a time when they have served their sentence and get released?

I don't know, I think there may come a time soon when GLB will allow posting privileges back to many users. Maybe something that would at least let them have poasting privileges in private forums, but never again in the GLB main forums. Who knows? I think it will happen though.
Not a discussion for the forums. The conversations for unbanningments is between the perma forum-banned users themselves (on a case by case basis) and the GLB admin team.
