Say I have the same play with different personnel in it.

Big I sweep with eHB
Big I sweep with pHB

Does auto adjust reference the play or the instance of the play, such that it would (in theory) run both equally at first, favoring the one that succeeded more?

Or, if say the pHB play fails, does it reduce the Big I sweep as a whole, thus also lowering the percentage on the eHB sweep?

It's just related to that specific output. So Big I sweep with eHB would be viewed independent from Big I sweep with pHB

And to clarify further so no one gets confused.

If I have two packages, each with one play that's the same (copies of each other)...

1st and 10
- Package A
- Package B

Those packages will be auto adjusted INDEPENDENTLY. The play being the same within the packages does not matter. Each package has it's own independent auto-adjusting that is performed.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now if I have my AI setup by down distance and have a situation like this:

1st and 10
- Package A
2nd and 10
- Package A

As we learned above, the package is what is getting auto-adjusted. There won't be independent auto-adjusting for package A in the 1st and 10 scenario and package A in the 2nd and 10 scenario. Each time package A is called the outputs contained within are being auto-adjusted based on success/failure.

Or, if you do not use packages, whatever is contained in the I/O will be adjusted accordingly.

So, I have 1st and ten and 3 plays in it.

Big I sweep left with PHB 40
Big I sweep left with EHB 40
Trips drags 20

It does not treat the Big I as 80 percent, and thus all inclusive of the PHB/EHB option, according to Romo.

correct

also while we're on the topic.

the package auto adjust (slow, fast etc.) is independent of the overall Auto Adjust.

So if within the same package, you have X play and Y play.

X play works very well, Y play gets stuffed. The package AA will adjust (at whatever speed you set) to favor play X.

However, the shell AA will adjust the entire package, if there's more than one option.

Say you have Package A and Package B both at 50%, and in Package A you have Play X and Play Y both at 50%. Then, in the game, Package A gets called and Play Y gets selected and gets stuffed. The shell AA will adjust away from Package A, at whatever rate you set, even though Play X in that same package works well.

Remember the nature of RNG, it's entirely possible to get Package A called multiple times in a row, and Play Y called multiple times is a row.

That would lead to Package A getting more devalued, even though Play X is in there and would work great.

You've also been playing it for years.

Imagine a newbie coming into the game today.

Well, let's just say that I've never used a calculator at any point in my GLB career...

Unless you count the ALGs to L79 script

Probably why I struggle to finish off the 4th AEQ on my dots!
