if the SA is a key part to your build 10 is the way to go. edit: by 10 i mean hell yeah. 11 or 12 might be a good idea. i never go past 11 though tbh.

Works ok on dots like this, as long as the D doesn't have them 1 on 1 with PHB's too often.

It definitely works better than a cover corner. You just can't rely on them to stop the outside run consistently with no help.
