I came at a crossroad with one of my players. Created on day 41 did all the training until day 48. His speed was at 33. I had 15 skill points remaining. I had enough BT to either give him another skill point (and make him reach the soft cap before boosting) or give him 30% enhance training. I was wondering if anyone knew if picking one over the other is a huge difference, or just different means to the same end. I figured that doing 30% would get you multi train faster, so I was curious if that would outweigh hitting the soft cap earlier.

Side Note: I also had another player who only had 32 speed in the same scenario and I chose to do the +1 SP for him too. Was that dumb?

Thanks for any help anyone can give me.

If possible, you want to hit your first soft cap before you have to boost. You can always enhance his training later... enhancing your training a few days earlier is not going to come anywhere close to the benefits of getting all of your ALGs in past the first soft-cap.

Thanks for the response. So for the 32 speed guy who I added +1 ...then added the 15 SP for 48 speed before the 3 boosts... does he get the benefits as well or did I mess up by not putting his weight at minimum in order for him to get that +1 in speed?

I wouldn't say you "messed him up" but he will not be getting the benefit of capping before your 1st boost. Not that big of deal man. Just boost 1 time and cap it and then boost your other 2 times. I would have saved that skill point you used bonus tokens for so technically your 15 tokens behind and a very small margin behind since you couldn't cap before boosting.

Again....its not like you ruined his build or anything man.

Yeah, whodey's correct. That dot's not quite optimum, but he's not exactly ruined either. He'll still be okay in the long run as long as you follow cap-building and pay attention to your training efficiency.

Thanks. Been reading on some build advice and feel like sometimes if you mess up one thing you're doomed. Appreciate the calming response lol

For some people, missing 1 SP equals "DOOMED."

For the rest of us (i.e. normal people), missing 1 SP equals, "Eh, ah well. He'll still be pretty damn good."

Some of the people around here do make you feel like you should retire and start over if you miss 1 training session or waste 1 bonus token or whatever the case may be. Unless you do something really stupid like put points into blocking for a Dlineman or punting for a WR or something than you will be just fine
