Here's my last thoughts on this. The only reason that "blocking focus" even exists is to give the game some diversity... otherwise we'd just use "blocking" as a catch-all skill that works on every play. Teams that desire to pass a lot need to have an ability that helps that aspect of their game while reducing their ability to run the ball due to the pass intensive nature of the team overall. Vise-versa for run oriented teams. Note that this is ALL about the offense? Not one thing here is about Special teams. Why? Because Special Teams DO NOT PASS (unless GLB's installed a "fake FG/punt" play I'm not aware of). There simply is no reason for any kind of "blocking focus" for ST's other than "run block". And instead of complicating the issue, it would be much simpler to have either separate blocking focuses for each (one for offense and one for ST's)... or eliminate "blocking focus" from all ST plays entirely and make it the default for any dot playing ST's. Either one... doesn't matter which... but this is how it should be.

All good points, but there is one factor here that you don't discuss. Teams that have a concept/strategy that overcomes the small disadvantage of having a special team Dot on pass blocking. And that, is what the game is about. Finding ways within the game to turn the dice in your favor, which VA, SA, Archetype/ALG are used and of course which attributes to run and how high, all in an effort to get the rolls to favor your own team more than they favor the other team. If this change were implemented, an small advantage goes away for those that have found a way and for those teams not seeking a solution to overcome the small disadvantage, Bort solves their problem and they can continue to do what they have always done. It's my opinion, that gamers should solve their own issues. Consider also, teams that have done something to overcome the blocking tactic issue, how many months have they sat with their roster waiting to get to the pro leagues. Long time to see their efforts taken away because someone else doesn't like dealing with it.
