How come?

Neither player was used to game it. I just worked hard and made the plays against even competition.

Wouldn't they have gotten the gear today?

MVP <> Gear. The top 3 get put in a lottery for the gear, iirc.

This might be a joke thread, but there are people every season who post this as a srs thread.

Air's explanation is correct. Winning the MVP award doesn't mean you'll win the Corporate Endorsement Eq. The top 5 players in the MVP race are entered into a lottery for the endorsement Eq. If I remember correctly, finishing higher in the MVP standings gives you a better chance of winning, but I may be misremembering that.

This is by design, to keep people from intentionally manipulating the MVP race somehow in order to nefariously gain the Eq, similar to how the NBA Draft Lottery means that intentionally tanking a season isn't automatically rewarded with the #1 draft pick.

However... someone needs to look over the Endorsements page on the Wiki and fix it up. There's some pretty LOLinfo there.

Incorrect. MVP gear has already been handed out.

yeah..that shits a lottery... i had a few guys win mvp mutliple times w/ no endorsment... even still being in top five.. my last return guy got back to back endorsments..last season mvp. this season i think he came 4-5..
its all a luck of the draw...
