How come I have often heard "replays are not accurate"... yet, they will ask for replays to determine if there is a "bug"??

Wonder what there would be if there were no replays?

Replays are a pixel or two off, and dots are way bigger than players.

If your dot is doing multiple barrel rolls before running out of bounds it clearly doesn't fall under a few pixels being off.

You're mis-quoting it. What people say is that the graphics are not accurate.

Remember, a replay in GLB consists of two things: the text, and the graphics. The text tells you exactly what happened. The graphics are simply an approximate visual representation of what happens in the sim. So, if there appears to be a conflict between what the text says and what the graphics show, the text is what happened.

However... not everything in a play gets listed in the text. So for anything not in the text, the graphics are the only way to see what happened on a play. So, when reporting a bug, the only way to verify if a bug actually occurred or not is to provide replay links, so that the Bugs mods can look at the replay text and the replay graphics.
