I agree, but it seems we are between a rock and a hard place.

If the game remains as is it will endure a very very slow death.

The game is going to endure a death no matter what way you slice it.

A "very very slow" one is best case scenario, so sounds like they should keep course.

I mean, the only thing that will keep GLB going long term is releasing additional games within the same site structure. Then at least there will be bleed over from every new game, and if nothing else it can be played as a "side game" of people primarily interested in the others.

GLB isn't going to experience some kind of revivification. It isn't going to shoot into fame and glory. Regardless of any changes to the game it, by itself, will just experience a slow agonizing death. That's just how the industry works. Especially niche games like this.

Yes, if GLB catered towards improving the initial experience when it was growing in popularity, it might be thriving now. But that opportunity is missed. Now the only thing left is keeping the Old Guard from bailing as well. Drastic changes enrage and disengage some people. Regardless of how good the change is for the game itself, or how many people like it, there will always be a group that gets mad and leaves because of it, and there is no tangible supply of new people filling the void.

That is kinda the way I look at it. I see this game living on like it is adding a couple things like its new achievement stuff and maybe some new plays and what not but really still being the same thing and slowly losing a user base. But then the new games roll in and hopefully they are something neat that brings in a new user base that might be interested in this game. Then they finally roll out a new pricing structure, or insta 79's, or even a bundle of players for a price. But the fact it hasn't got to that yet and still stands is actually pretty impressive to me.

Basically just sit back and hope Glitter Glitz Lane is a wild, runaway success.

I bet you are wrong this time. Wait, I don't have the controls, so I can't do what needs to be done, so yeah you are prolly right.

Yeah that would be nice.

The new game might be fun. I know I enjoyed this game the most when everyone was just stumbling around in the dark trying to figure it out.

Then again, if it takes 6 trillion years to build a player like this one, the new game might suck, too.

Not nearly as much as it would suck if you could fully develop a player in a few weeks or a month.

OYA coz DB says this then it has to be true coz he knows of every possible variable and what would be the best option in a game value and business sense
