How does it work?

What are the qualifications to reach a higher Global Rank? Do we beat the teams above us? Do the builds have anything to do with it? League wins? League loss?

Can any enlighten me on this topic please?

I don't pay a lot of attention to Global Rank... it's pretty lulzy.

But my understanding is that you go up by winning and go down by losing. The rank of the team you won or lost to plays a role. Regular season games, tourney games, and ranked scrims (not necessarily in that exact order) are all worth more than unranked scrims.

That's how it works. Really doesn't work very well, mind you, which is why a lot of people ignore it entirely. But that's how it works.

Answered my question, thanks guys.

Ranked, Tourney, League Games count. Unranked do not count.

Strength of Schedule, Opponent W/L etc. factor into your ranking. Its actually very accurate as to who has performed the best up given point in the season.

Doesn't factor in margin of victory. Just win or loss

I was wondering about this myself. One day we're at 36, the next 38 and then down to 95 :faceplam:

Its the same formula from NiborRis old rankings. They always take a couple weeks to shuffle out but are very accurate from then on..

Think of the college BCS computer rankings. There is a reason they don't release them until 7 or so weeks into the season. Also computer ranking don't care about margin of victory etc. just W/L and SOS
