Back to the question at hand.....It would appear this situation would be a combination of multiple things. First the open man/distance slider.... Anything toward distance is going to have the QB scan the field longer before actually throwing the ball, even if a dot is open. Now, if you watch the replay you'll notice the QB scans to the TE just before he says "I'm Open", maybe he was already in the process of going to his next read at that time which happen to be an open WR further down field. Also, take into account the pressure from the defense and his blitz reaction slider. If he's not being pressured or blitzed he'll likely hold ball longer to read through his progressions longer.

So... open man/distance sliders+blitz reaction slider+Throw away risk+read progressions+defensive pressure= Complete Pass to WR for 30 yards instead of pass attempt to TE for unknow amount of yards.... Looks like a perfect play to me.

1) QB slider set to the "open man" side of the slider
2) If you go frame by frame the TE is saying "Im open" while the QB is still targeting the FB. He then switches to the TE and while in frame by frame it is 5 clicks of the frame by frame that he is still targeting the TE before he switches to look at WR2.
3) Blitz reaction slider is set to "run play as normal"

Whodey, back to the "Trolling" Topic.. He wasnt trolling and ethicly you cant say he was disagreeing with everything you said because, you were doing the same to him. He didnt say anything that was wrong either so dont be mad at him for "Ruining the FAQ thread" I dont mean to flame the arguement or anything but seriously..

And now back on topic

It might have been low Vision? It looks like they're high levels judging on the players speed but I think it should have been thrown to the TE as well. He was wide open 15 yards out

This statement @Jay is the only information itt that I am certain is true.

I'll see if I can get this train back on track. Whodey, I suspect the issue isn't with the QB... but with the TE. Earlier in this thread someone mentioned the vision of the TE. Vision or lack thereof, I've seen receivers give the "I'm Open" signal to the QB and, seriously... if I was the QB, I wouldn't have thrown him the ball. Either the receiver doesn't see the safety close by, or he doesn't think the safety is close enough. Since this is a math-based sim, I'm guessing the TE's math told him "I am open!" but the QB's math said, "no... you're not." Either way, I just don't think your issue here is with the QB.

TE's vision is at 48 and QB's vision 80. Was just surprised to see the QB looking at a dot who is saying im open and not get the ball thrown is all. I just plan to pay more attention to future replays and see if it happens at all again.

Thx guys!

for some reason i thought that even on 1st and 2nd downs, the location of the receiver in relation to the first down marker affected the QB's decision-making a bit. if that's the case it could have been a small factor contributing to the no-throw.

Do you ever wonder why people (not just me) treat you with disdain if not apoplexy?

Does this zealous moderation actually make GLB better and more profitable? It's not against the rules (nor inappropriate) to point out that someone has no idea what they're talking about. Also, a forum full of nice people is boring as shit and would be dead within a month.

If you're suggesting that people need to be banned for that then you should probably step away from this thread before you make yourself look any worse.

I'll take "QB sliders" FTW., Alex.
