good question. I have tried lower agility defenders and it hasn't exactly been pretty.

I will push Super Vision and monster Hit first.
Other points into....maybe First Step....

Ya, but to raise these two stat you need sacrifice other attribute, which attribute will you lower?

Did their cuts actually look different or is it because of the other stuff agility does?

I don't have an exact number but a feeling that the more field a dot has to cover the more agility it needs (defensively speaking). I've always shot for 90 or more agility for my safeties... even if it means sacrificing a little somewhere else (and I do mean "a little". I always thought you can pinch a SP here and there on the secondary skills such as Confidence to bump up a primary skill a bit more.)

Depends on how much leftover BT's you planed into the build. I try hard to shoot for 4 AEQ... but sometimes find 3 AEQ and swapping out the BT's for SP's works better... sometimes. My old Power WR was a great blocker and mediocre receiver until the end of his build. I wanted 4 AEQ but settled on 3, swapped my BT's for SP's, and got his jumping to 70+. Suddenly he caught just about everything thrown at him... even triple covered. That little bit really changed him a lot.

I would have probably sacrificed a little tackling and agility for better vision. Jumping's only chance would have been lower strength so probably not worth it under the circumstances of the build.

They just didn't seem to move like guys with 90ish agility when i compared them to other dots. They were really high vision builds prior to the arch changes which obviously gave more SP and what not to use. They had 70 agility and 90 vision. It might be something worth revisiting with the extra SP's though.

Everyone has 90. The point of his question is how much can we get by with in order to pump other skills. Which I certainly believe is lower than that.

Him dropping an AEQ would have been pretty short served...he would have spent 30 SP's to reach 10 in Monster Hit. Otherwise he is sacrificing a % AEQ which was not optimal.

if you MUST cheat agility to pump up other skills... 80 is as low as I would go. But I won't build a safety like that unless I see overwhelming proof that there's no difference between 80 agility and 90+ agility as it pertains to the dots ability to perform his duties. I simply don't think that is true though. I could be wrong... just don't think so.

Ah. Yes. I agree with this.

What's the main use of vision for DBS?

Reaction, avoiding fakes, helping with deflections, etc. I used to be skeptical about vision on man coverage CBs until I tried some without it.

Id take VIS > AGL tbh but to each his own

I see DB's do just fine with low-mid-80's agility, though a lot of them have CD. I don't think CD is necessary with 90+ agility. As for the OP, I would switch strength and tackling on that SS just from the observations I have made about KL's, other than that it's a sexy dot.

depends on how high those values are - somewhere in the 80s i'd take agi over vis for man CBs
