Maybe you're right Theo,

the effort -> reward seems to be a little skewed to the sWR side of things.

I have had power WR's (unfortunately) on both Widows and UFC the last couple seasons...this is my first season without a power WR in WL now that UFC is demoted.

20 sp's goes right out the window because the main part of the whole reason you have this arch still needs attention. RR and SH.

they are penalized on a speedster though

how would penalized SA's be the main part of the whole reason to have this archetype ?

even penalized I still plan to try and get SH to 10 , and that will also require RR to 5.

FS to 12(w/EQ) and CatchFake to 10. Should be an adequate pro level sWR (I think?)

SH is p great. Although, if I am building a fake guy, that stuff is just going to be a bonus.

I've never built a WR that didn't suck, but it's also been a long time since I've tried. So, let's compare the Archetypes...

Speedster WR
Majors: Speed, Agility, Catching, Vision, Confidence
Minors: Jumping, Carrying, Stamina

Possession WR
Majors: Agility, Catching, Jumping, Vision, Carrying
Minors: Speed, Stamina, Confidence

Biggest thing that stands out to me is that Speed is a Major for Speedster WRs but only a Minor for Possession WRs. That right there would turn me off big time... in order to make catches, you need to be able to separate yourself from CBs. And to do that, you need as much Speed and Agility as you can get your hands on.

If you max out Speed on a Speed WR and a Possession WR, the Possession WR will be covered more often, which means more disputed catch rolls. He'll also have more Jumping and Carrying to help him make that disputed catch, but it's far easier to make a catch that isn't disputed in the first place.

I'd really have to run them through the VPB though.

at least in the lower levels, it seems strong players with good catching catch far more often even when covered
then speedy guys do even being able to get open sometimes with their speed. just what i've noticed
