Anyone know why my FS is playing CB on this play?

Is he playing CB1, CB2, CB3, CB4, or CB5? Seems like a depth chart issue.

Look at your depth chart slots for CBs, specifically CB4 and CB5 for this case.

In CB4, you have:
Combine Corner
Sweet Lou
Frank Gordon

In CB5, you have
Sweet Lou
Frank Gordon

On the field for that play you have
Combine Corner at CB1
Sweet Lou at CB2
Frank Gordon at CB3

So CB4 and CB5 are effectively empty when it goes to fill it.

Something to note:

If you have an 'empty' situation like above, the sim will go to your generic CB slot. You have the generic slot completely empty. Fill it with your CBs!

There's no reason NOT to use it as a 'cover my ass'.

actually my FS and SS are in the #4 and #5 spot but they are in that position on the depth chart.

When a depth chart slot is 'empty', the sim selects a player to fill it based on some logic surrounding attributes. Position is irrelevant for that determination so that's why your FS/SS got chosen.
