Been in a ton of PW leagues where there were teams WAY over cap like this. GLB never actually does something about it. Only way it can matter is if agents leave the team once they stop getting paid. Usually does not happen, as player money means nothing (other than moral boost).

As far as i can tell there are no ill effects. My first season i mistakenly signed all my dots to max contracts, was worried it would destroy player morale when they didn't get paid, but nothing seemed to happen. So last season and this season i again maxed salaries figuring it would help morale with no downside. Whether it makes any difference on the field i don't really know.
