I use the one above. It is a great start. Once you set it up just got to watch replays and adjust accordingly.

Yeah, that's been my experience with any of the ST guides that have circulated on the GLB forums over time... none of those guides have ever worked particularly well for me, but they always at least give me a starting point that I can adjust from over time.
A LOT depends on your particular dots. I'm sure these systems worked great for the guys who wrote them and the personnel they happened to have, but not every team is going to have the same sorts of available players as those guide-writers happened to have.
There really just is no substitute for trying things out yourself and adjusting based on your own results. That goes for pretty much everything in this game. Everyone wants to find shortcuts, but there really aren't that many of them.

Truth this.^ I have my own spreadsheet for this that I use to put dots in the "right places". Works just fine but it's sure not a shortcut.
