It would be benificial because were I to create my, let's say Kicker, tomorrow(as opposed to today), he would have one less day of training, 48% training progress less than if I were to create my Kicker today.

Creating on D40-D48 is all the same. A dot that creates on D48 will get 2 TP for every day he is 'behind' the guy created on D40.
