How long is the grace period when I buy a new team?

Another question relating to chemistry.

Lets say my team has 55 players. Some of them their contracts will end up in 2 days and I won't sign them back. Theres a player available right now.

If I cut a player instead of waiting day 40 that his contact expire, will it hit my team chemistry ?
Or should I only wait 2 days to sign the FA ?

You can't cut until the playoffs are over

There are 2 - 4 day chem grace periods. You get another in the preseason.
