I joined for both the football and MMORPG aspects.

Star Wars Football would be the bombaddest

Would love to see a MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) Game.

I joined and continue to play GLB because I enjoy the "building" process. I don't even like football that much

True... building is fun... for now. I worry that eventually folks will simply become machines at building with everyone doing the exact same things so that the dots all look like clones or Star Wars Storm Troopers. Then it's gonna stink like bantha poodoo.

The biggest problem GLB has is that it takes too long to build a dot. They need to cut the time it takes to build a dot in half again. For most agents, what their dot does before the build is complete does not matter.

My question for GLB is at this point, would it not be better to eliminate the whole multi season build process?

As posed above, most agents really shouldn't be concerned with the results of their dot before final build, unless they are not planning on making it all the way through.

Since there were three people who responded that is "not even remotely true", that indicates to me that there could be a decent amount of people making long term sacrifices for the betterment of the short term. Why?

I guess its my belief that you would want your dot to be the most productive over the final build plateau seasons, but I guess others have different interest? So if you have dots and teams with two seperate agendas for when they want to win, what kinda game does that really make?

GLB was really only interesting when it was in a state of flux. It kept challenging agents to figure things out all over again and gave them something to do. Now that we are out of beta and things are they way they are, its headed into stagnation. Stagnation might as well be labeled decline.

I would lobby to have the player building process completely reworked. Reworked in that you dont go through a multi season building approach. On day 40 you build your player, like you would in the VPB, and than your guy is ready to go. Each season you could completely rework your player if you like, and try out something new. Maybe your team wants to change its style, or has got a new coordinator who likes things a different way. This would give people alot of flexibility to get more interest without having to stick around for several seasons before getting to play in a pro league or word league.

This idea should also make the higher leagues more competitive...as its not such a lengthy and difficult process to get prior qualified owners who perhaps took a break and dont want to start over from level 1 back into the mix of things.

Personally I am starting a reboot next season and not really looking forward for all the in between time until we get back up to the pro level.

People always see to complain that the sim is designed for the end build, and i think you should ask yourself why we dont just always play it that way. In this case teams would never have reason to have "zero cares" or blame the league/level for lack of commitment. As it stands, many teams, especially network or farm teams just coast through until its time to be re located at plateau.

the building process won't ever get eliminated, it's the glue that holds glb together imo
