I have a couple of players who have gone through or are going through decline and I want some opinions on how to best use training points. Although decline happens I am interested in the best way to "maintain" the player as long as possible into decline (with the full realization here that decline eventually just is too much and you have to retire the player). Traditionally my strategy has been light training and then use the BTs to get SPs and put those SPs usually into SAs or to even purchase an additional SA (e.g., bought and filled some catching SAs for my TE). However, I was thinking that maybe multi-training at least initially was a decent bet and then switch to light training for the SPs or some other combo of multi training or even training on normal (but I haven't actually tried those approaches).

Any thoughts on the best approach for declining players?

Thanks

I don't know, I've never thought about the best(most efficient) way....maybe we should use the VP...wait a minute...

Probably wouldn't be too hard, tbh. At Day 281 have it advance to day 480. If age > 480 and (day % 8) = 0 (remainder of current day / 8) then decline stats based on an array (or perhaps the array could have the day number included). It would be slightly different than the current code for ALGs since decline is percentage based and ALGs are fixed. The ALG function could likely be leveraged to handle decline, though.

Yep. It could potentially extend the life of some dots in a more planned way but definitely not worth the trouble.

If someone wants to wring out the most possible enjoyment for their flex....it might be worth it to them. I usually need the flex from my dots before I get more than 1 season into decline.

It's like what, 2 years from date of creation until decline kicks in?
