Now I know that most teams go with 10 OLine etc but at University Level is it possible to go with 8 OLine ( 2xC 3xG 3xT ) without TOO much loss - stamina levels of players concerned will prob be between 18 - 20 ?
At the lower levels it's rough. You'll generally want as many as you can get. Just about everyone gets burnt in terms of energy.
Once you get to 65-68 stamina territory (plateau) those numbers you posted are do-able (assuming you are cutting o-line numbers for extra STOPs, which would cut your o-line needed to play STs).
Thanks thats given me some things to think about - I have plenty of both but looking to "create" some Roster space - not planning on throwing SPs at stamina for a few seasons so I guess Im going to have a ponder or two !! Thanks guys
If they have good builds this should be sufficient
Back when I was OC'ing, I'd sometimes go 5 OT, 4 G's, and 2 C's. 3 TE's also (one defensive, one balanced, one receiving). No joke, I loved having a fresh o-line. So helpful to have a QB not getting hurried.

Yes I must admit for the 1st time Ive actually run a few scrims and paid attention to the OL stamina levels - Probably looking at a 60/40 % run to pass ratio and simulating that leaves 10 Linemen visibly tired and less effective
