the whole point of a dot getting older and losing effectiveness has to do with being realistic ... in real life, as a player ages he tends to be less effective till he has no more use and retires. kickers and punters, not having to go through anywhere as much wear and tear on their bodies as other players, tend to have a chance to last longer. you have kickers who are still very good in their late 30s and early 40s. why kickers end up retiring so soon is usually due to the small market and need for kickers (one is all you REALLY need on any team + plus a backup as insurance) and hence they get cut a lot. but point is, i think since we try to be realistic here at GLB, the kicker/s punters should have more days allowed before they begin to hit plateau and decline.

I like the idea, +1. But I think itll end up NGTH because of potential for abuse

Yeah... because the flip side of that argument is that HB's should have a much shorter life due to the damage they endure constantly... and that definitely is NGTH.

Prolonging kicker/punter careers would mean an even larger glut of homeless kicker/punters each offseason. Anyways, changes to plateau/decline are NGTH.
