oops was seeing SAs

VAs I use would be similar to w's below but not quite

Quick Feet
Short Yardage Monster
Track Star

and I would add

Slippery

The last slot would depend on your build and the team.

If he is going to catch passes, YAC Attack, goal line tool, Goal Line Back, carrying not too great, Steady Grip (or Catching or Agility VAs if these need boosting etc)

And save 1 point for Over Time Killer

Unless he has points in Spin, Juke, or Head Fake at his level; Quick Feet is useless to him right now. That VA is a must once you have points in those SAs, but you should not have any points there right now at your level.

He also should now have Vision above 40 at his level so Short Yardage Monster isn't an option yet. Again that is another important one for an Elusive Back down the road for you.

Depending on your build, Track Star or Second Wind are not bad options. Second Wind will help if you are rushing a lot and Track Star will be a minor help to your Speed.

I didn't bother looking at what level his dot was. He just asked what good VA's for elusive backs are.

Quick Feet
Short Yd. Monster
Slippery
Steady Grip (Why not get a huge bonus to holding onto the ball, Broken Tackles, and Head Fake/Juke?)
Second Wind (if Stamina is low)
1 Pt. OTK

IMO

Why is Mr Reliable that big of deal to be a must have?

I have 3 level 79 HB's and none have Mr. Reliable.
1HB = no fumbles in the last 2 seasons
2HB = 2 fumbles in 2 seasons
3HB = 2 fumbles in 2 seasons (he only has 54 strength too!)

I didn't list it as a must have - the top 3 were must haves -

15 Quick Feet
15 Slippery
15 Short Yardage Monster

Obviously carrying should be super high (~90) on any rusher, and I get what you are saying. However, I hate fumbles in big games more than anything. Your elusive will be handling the ball more than any dot on 1st and 2nd, so why not take the massive not fumble bonus and use him with no fear?

When you do get into pro+, there are quite a few FF type of defenders and I hate to avoid inside rushes (or a certain defender) just to avoid fumble risk.

Perhaps you can shave carrying down to 85-88 and then push SAs more, etc. In all honesty, I just hate fumbles. They have a way of finding you at the wrong time.

Steady grip is certainly viable and the carrying bonus does more than protect the rock. That is not a bad route to go either.
