for MVP (particularly ST MVP, but O MVP too I guess) how are TDs weighed in comparison to Fumbles lost? is a TD worth more positively than a FumL is worth negatively? or about the same?

also, are broken tackles calculated into the rankings?

Don't waste energy trying to understand the rankings. Its just not worth it.

but like has anyone made an observations about to what degree FumLs hurt a player's calculated "performance?" like even just in the top 5 game performers, something easily observable, you'll see players who fumble get knocked down a few pegs but I'm wondering if anyone has taken enough time to quantify how much a FumL seems to be worth against a TD

Asking this in the FAQ forum isn't wasting energy, I'm hoping to get a quick answer from someone else who has wasted their energy
so you don't know, next...

This is a perfect question for the FAQ forum! Cuz it's frequently asked and never answered.

Pen15, you really are wasting energy, and why? Because no one will be able to give you a reply. No one knows except bort.

EDIT: No one could without access to heavy testing procedures or the code give you the details you want with such minutiae.

p sure fumbles lost aren't even put into the equation

I'd say it's solely based on TD's, total yardage, and of course your team's record.

you could probably backward-engineer the kicker/punter and (maybe) the defensive MVP awards, but there's too many variables with Offense and ST

Bort wont release the exact formula, because its easily manipulated, but Hall Of Fame, works similar to the MVP code does (but it has weighting for league played in, blowouts etc) from your question, I guess this would help you out...?

Question : How is the ST MVP figured? Is the average yards on KR important?
Answer : Actually, you lose points per return and gain points for yards, essentially giving more points for more high average returns. If you have a bunch of lousy returns, you'll get negative points.

A returner is not creditted with a return when they fumble, so its unlikely that any type oflost yardage on the play is penalised.
TDs are a large part of the calc for sure but comparing them to FumL across a career becomes very problematic due to league and blowout weighting.
