Okat so the situation is that i havent been playing the game for a good while now, and i see that i have players, but they are very old in days, but very little level so should i just trash all players and start new careers or is there any way to continue on them?

yes, absolutely retire them and start over

you can make new ones now to re-familiarize yourself with training and building, but long-term it is best to create in the off season (between day 40 and day 0), so you will probably want to retire your new dots anyway to remake them after this season.
