Many times when I see the "Spin" fire, it is a mess outside of the broken tackle.

Why is it that the spin takes the ball carrier 4+ yards in the other direction and most of the time it is towards other defenders.

Recently seen a spin where the back went around 7 yards to the outside and then "spin" off of a defender and was bounced back around 7 yards where they came from, towards waiting defenders.

Is this working as intended?
Or can there be a distance reduction in the spin radius to at most 3 yards?

These two are not bad, so maybe not as many as presumed. But have seen more egregiousness cases.

-1 to the limit

just make str more important to the recovery.

I can dig that, strength buff to spin to avoid or lessen redirection

it looks like it depends on the angle of the tackler! the defender forced him inside meaning if he had spun, it would be away from the defender but if he spun towards the defender and knocked him over, woulddnt that be considered trucking? for him to spin towards the defender and trying the avoid the defender he would have to move back a lil bit to decrease the angle of the defender which could be considered sort of a juke but then it would not benefit the back

2:50 & 3:00 marks ... what I think of as average "spin" moves

Here you see how a perfect "spin" move is achieved
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ItjlV-zqX1w

The mini-juke is part of the setup for the spin to work properly

Another
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DV5I-TxyGAo

around the 1:10 mark, observe the defender comes from the right, and the spin goes towards the right... away from other defenders (sensible).

0:06 mark... spin comes back to the inside to avoid going out of bounds (another issue with spin)

and another example

Last one... for now

This guy, this are dots not madden nfl or real life human being, factors that sim the game are numbers of player builds and all set of formulas, you are calculating maths that will give you the same results everytime to reality. This is a numbers game bud

And you know that this is a suggestion?
Posted those to show that the explanation you chose makes as much sense as running towards a defender in order to avoid the one behind them.

"the defender forced him inside"

BTW, as spin is not a forced move it is a predetermined move.

Not sure that "predetermined" is accurate. Mostly (as I understand the sim) it is an aspect which is applied to a dot that has equipped itself with that SA... that is triggered by a series of certain events... and even then it requires a "check" to make sure it actually does fire... and even then it might fire but not work right due to OTHER events at that time. Still, I kinda like Diamond Spade's thought about linking strength to recovery. Not sure how I wanna vote this though.
