I saw a special teams play where the player got beat on the first attempt to engage the block, but was so fast that he easilly caught up to the dot he was attempting to block, but the other dot kept instantly disengaging.
It looked exactly like the dot was just mounting the other dot the entire way down the field.

Trying to mount and actually mounting are two different things....
