Will be interesting to see the results. Like Bane said.....I knew it worked for offense as I saw the changes in personnel from the offensive side of things and assumed it did the same for defense. Let us know what you find

In goal line defense formation here, and was surprised that the NT and RDE on our GL formation depth chart are not in the game. I know that GL Stand VA is not active, but they should still be in for the play right? I sure as heck don't want my pass rushing DE in the game for that play, and that is what I thought the GL Formation Depth Chart was for.



Custom Slots would only be in effect for Goal Line defensive formation, the replay linked is a 4-3 defense, so wouldn't apply.

Set up a sim with my team just to be sure thats your issue, though.

Actually it is not. The LDE, RDE, and SS are not correct there either. All 4 DT's are in that formation so hard to tell at the DT spots (although I would think it should pull from the custom spots first so it should have the correct dot at the 1 NT spot and it does not)

Well it seems we have confirmed the issue was that the defense description is a bit confusing. Defense is listed as Goal Line 4-3, which is considered a 4-3 defense and not a goal line defense therefore the custom spots wont kick in for that defense.

no, just that the wording of the defense is confusing. It is not a bug and seems to be working as intended. Goal Line 4-3 is not considered a Goal Line base defense, it is considered a 4-3.

The defenses I was questioning would not be out of the Goal line formation, but out of the 4-3 and that is why the DC doesn't activate there. Calling the defense Goal Line 4-3 may be a tad confusing, but it is what it is.

no it is a 4-3 formation. It is a basic defense (we are casual) and that is just the name for it. Just a specific 4-3 base called against the GL formation

So it DOES work in regular when in GL formation?

I thought so but then again never really checked. Only reason I was sure it worked on O was because I once noticed the dots on the GLspecific chart got more snaps than those not on the GLspecific chart and then checked replays.

It works in any league (casual included) as long as the GL base formation is used.
