Oh c’mon…everyone was rooting for an upset here but not going to happen. 31-3 victory over San Jose is quickly forgotten for the upcoming game against the LA Reign. Someone’s Oh must go.
2. Los Angeles Reign 9-0-0
Last week: 2 High:2 Low:6
Laid the smack down on the OKC Outlaws in their scrimmage…I mean..game. The Reign and Spartans both have dominant teams but the Reign need to fire on all cylinders to dethrone the Spartans. I can’t wait to see this one.
3. Over The Rhine Red Dots 7-2-0
Last week:3 High: 3 Low:9
Easily handled the Minnesota Americans although most probably expected the score to be a little more lopsided. Canton Cannon is making a case for himself as the best QB in the conference, leading in passing yardage and second in TDs.
4. Little Haiti Voodoo 6-3-0
Last week: 5 High:3 Low:10
Complete domination of a Vallonia team that’s been looking improved as of late. QB Little Nicky and HB Wilbert Brown accounted for a total of 540 yards of offense…. That borders on just flat out wrong.
5. Florida Bulls 6-3-0
Last week: 6 High: 5 Low:9
Handled the Flyers competently but after playing three lower tier teams, the Bulls roll in to face a Reno team with some skill. With the Bulls up and down season, I think this will end up being a closer game than some think.
6. San Jose Chupacabra 6-3-0
Last week: 4 High:4 Low:13
Their defence played admirably against the Spartans but their offense was woefully deficient. New coaching moves on the offensive side of the field may yield some good results for the Chupacabra.
7. South Otto Fragile Porcelain Mice 5-4-0
Last week: 7 High: 6 Low:9
Solid performance against the Bay Area Bastards has the Mice pushing for a playoff spot again. The Mice have a solid overall team and will be dangerous for anyone to play down the stretch. They should get another W over a lacklustre Colorado Springs team.
8. Fresno Fire 6-3-0
Last week: 8 High:3 Low:8
Sorry Fresno….a token win against Boston doesn’t erase memories of a three game losing skid. The Fire will have a chance to reclaim their season in playing a tough Chupacabra team that has definite playoff implications for both teams.
9. Reno Marauders 5-4-0
Last week: 9 High: 2 Low:9
They had to work for a win against the Minden Musketeers, but Reno wins in a shootout aerial contest. Reno’s defence will need to pick it up if they want to make the playoffs.
10. Colorado Springs Flyers 3-6-0
Last week: 11 High: 3 Low:12
QB Rock Thunderarm’s 3 INTs derailed a decent showing against the Bulls. I think he and Chris Lightning of Minden have a bet on who can throw the most picks this year.
11 . Vallonia BeaverHunters 3-6-0
Last week: 10 High: 10 Low:16
They follow their biggest win of the season but sending their girlfriends out to play Little Haiti. The B’Hunters looked like they were gaining momentum but tossed it away. Getting dominated in a pivotal game all but ends Vallonia’s playoff hopes.
12. Minden Musketeers 2-7-0
Last week: 12 High: 11 Low:15
Spirited performance against Reno. The Muskeeters play everyone tough but are frequently held back by their turnover percentage. They’ll get their third win of the season next week against the Outlaws though.
13 . Bay Area Bastards 2-7-0
Last week: 13 High: 10 Low:13
Another L versus a tough South Otto team. The Bastards have all the pieces but the puzzle remains why they continue to lose. If the management can find a way to get the talent they have working together, this is a playoff team.
14. Minnesota Americans 1-8-0
Last week: 14 High: 10 Low:15
ANOTHER shut out. Rumor is that going to let their fans start on offense for their next game. Really, they couldn’t do any worse.

The battle for the Toilet Bowl continues with Boston. The Outlaws have officially become the warm-up for teams about to play the Spartans.
