Why are they forbidden by rule? I mean, who cares?

Parody threads aren't against the rules. We do tend to lock them beyond the first one (in a main forum like GLB, not in FFA/GD/TT), however. Otherwise we'd have 6+ parody threads pushing out other threads as people go on their creative binge.
