Oklahoma City… In a much ballyhooed matchup of two of the top teams in the Western Conference, the Oklahoma City Spartans displayed the dominance that sets them apart from the rest of the division with a convincing 31-3 victory.

Despite the tenacious defence of the Chupacabra allowing just one touchdown in the waning moments of the game, Spartans kicker Dusty Miller connected on 8 of 9 field goals to seal the OKC win.

“Our team has a “Bend, Don’t Break” philosophy on defence. We only allowed one touchdown, so I don’t think we broke,” said owner K9Fiend, “But they sure as hell bent the living (expletive) out of us.”

The Spartans racked up over 400 yards of offense of the typically stingy San Jose defence but only managed to get in the end zone once. However, it was the Spartans defence that shone in the big game spotlight, holding San Jose to under 100 total yards.

“I just couldn’t connect today. There’s no excuses for it,” said San Jose QB Remo Rankin, who finished with 85 yards on 16 of 37 passing.

The Spartans now travel to Los Angeles for their heavily anticipated matchup against the LA Reign whereas the Chupacabra look to rebound against the struggling Fresno Fire.

“We comin’ home with a bang baby. Fresno is gonna feel some of the anger we got towards losin’ tonight. Wrath. Like, old school Bible stuff baby. Full on wrath…. Raining fire, frogs and linebackers all up in that ass,” declared linebacker Demetrius McQueen.
