Shouldn't it be up to the person that, you know, pays for the private forum?

NGTH. Otherwise, you'd have people setting up private forums to distribute child porn, then claiming that they're allowed to do whatever they want in that forum because it's a private forum.
Pretty sure the mods aren't going to be quite as strict with a private forum as a public one, but forum violations are forum violations, regardless of the forum they happen in.

Okay, CLEARLY not in illegal instances, or posting of pornography. I'm saying the flaming and general shit that happens in PFs like the Lounge. Way to push to the maximum extreme.

Mods have no power to moderate in PFs since they can't access them unless invited. This is strictly an admin issue. And yes, thing posted in PFs seem to be held to an even higher standard now than what is posted in the main forums. We need to go back to the way things were in the past.

Okay. You should probably add that to the OP then so the lolmod who is about to post "lolno" and lock this understands what you're actually trying to say.
Sorry for doing you a favor.

the standing order is that all private forums are to be treated by mods/admins etc the same as FFA
that means that we basically let them mod themselves, and only step in for the major violations (aka the B level rules)
that policy will not change. So this is NGTH
however, flaming and stuff should not be modded unless it brings in the personal / real life stuff and threats. If you feel that the particular thing that was modded shouldn't have been touched, than feel free to bring it up in the appeal (if you are the offender), or via PM to a lead mod (if you are just the owner). They can look into it. Please be civil in the PMs. They will discuss the issue with you as long as you are civil.
