I could post 100s of replays. In the replay above though you can pause it after he catches it. TE is blocking CB(who he pancakes). Then he has the RG, RT, and FB all in front of him, youd think easy TD. But no...he runs inside the blockers and right into the Dline. The whole play is rather ugly and if you go tick-by-tick, there's a few problems
1) The WR is already going towards the left to catch the ball so he's continuing the path of momentum
2) At the time of the catch, the CB is the nearest defender which the WR would shy away from since he wasn't caked at that point
3) At the time of the catch, the CB is not caked so the RG continues on that path to get him since he's the closest defender in the RG's vision cone. Had the cake happened a tick or two earlier, the RG may have picked up that MLB. In fact, you can see the RG turnaround once that CB goes down.
4) The FB runs through like a retard instead of locking onto that LOLB (FB pathing issues are nothing new though)
5) Love how the MLB forces the fumble from 2 yds away though we've been told repeatedly that position of graphics =/= true position of player. FF's from diving tackles drive me nuts (personal side note).
Or the simple answer is WR/TE screens suck. Fix that makes sense is for the WR to not really catch those in stride but to be stationary allowing them to head towards their blockers.
