Not much you can do at the low levels man. You really need agility/strength/vision but that will come later. Gotta have patience.

Depends on who is blocking them.

Also depends on what level of the game you're at, but I assume you're still talking about Rookie.

I also assume you're talking about CBs getting blocked by WRs? Most WRs at this stage of the game are 98-pound weaklings, but so are most CBs. As whodey said, probably a mix of Agility, Strength and Vision. But at this point, you're probably pumping Speed if you're building your CBs even remotely well, so you probably won't have much Agility, Strength or Vision.

Fortunately, neither will the WR who is blocking your CB.

UNLESS... you're playing a team like mine that is utilizing blocking WRs, who probably have more Strength than your CBs. Then you're just screwed.

Would starting your CB's off 3-5 yards deeper help? Or having them set on an outside angle adjacent to the WR?

To clarify, this only applies when the CB is on a blitz to the QB. He's got to be blitzing the QB. Likewise if he was on a blitz, as soon as he reads run it is irrelevant.

Both are good ideas to try, actually. I look out for that when I'm scouting opposing defenses, since it does make it a little harder for my WRs to meet their CBs to block them. Not impossible, of course, especially with our team's WRs, but every little bit helps on D.

This is your best bet. Not really much you can do.

what the others stated above, just want to add: make sure you set them to "cover man w/out move"
