Well, the reason I ask is it wouldn't surprise me if there's something hidden in the sim that says "A 116-yard FG attempt? LOLNO", and then runs a random play for you on 4th down instead, which results in a fumble recovered for a TD by the other team.

Hence my question: anyone ever tried a FG from their own 1 before? The theory makes sense, but I want to know if anyone's actually DONE it.

Sounds like something for a bored tester to test out.

if you're trying to kill 2 seconds and want the lowest risk, why not tell your team to line up for a FG attempt? From your 1 yard line that would be a 116 yard attempt, but there's an extremely low chance of a turnover (lower than fumble or INT).

Best to run a normal play there to burn out the clock, methinks.

you make me sound like an idiot that would actually ever even ask what the OP is asking

I'm just saying, the sim is stupid. Silly little things like that burn people all the time in this game.

Running a spike play with 0:02 left on 4th down SHOULD run out the clock, but I'd hate to find out the hard way that it actually doesn't.
