This was our first game and we will continue to feed it with small updates, as long as we have agents, but some features are so hardcoded into the game they cannot be changed without rewriting the entire thing. Unfortunately that is not something that will happen.

So would there be a chance that after a few new games are released, that maybe Bort would consider doing a different version of GLB? Taking what he has learned from this version and putting it in the newer version?

Yes, that is likely.

He learned what to do and what not to do from this game and a fresh start has been talked about. I cannot mention what our future games are but I can say "revamping" GLB is something we would love to do in the future. If it is something we end up doing, the development phase would be quick and easy because the simulation is already in place.

I'm not sure what you're face-palming. Those facts still remain unchanged.

ok well so far from what I can gather, there is a problem with some of the hardcoding, so are you saying that those problems can be fixed with a newer version by not 'rewriting the entire thing'?

hey, I'm no game developer or technician ...how would you prefer that I said it? ...am just saying that coz many times when we have discussed an issue, people that are more informed than I am have mentioned that it can't be changed coz it is 'hard coded' ...is that better?!?

think of it like cutting a board without measurements

once you cut it too short you cant go back and fix it

you have to get another board, but you can use the rough estimates of your first board to get the second board right

GLB was cut too short in like season 8 or something

I wouldn't say season 8 but yes good way of explaining it.

Reworking the entirety of GLB, with it's current code, would be a nightmare. "Cutting a new board" at the proper length is the only real fix.

Well, the game more or less reached it's peak of complexity around Season 8 to 10 give or take. That was also kind of the point of no return regards VA's, custom slots, AEQ, etc.

Not saying that was the peak of the game (or was it? I don't know) but yeah...point of no return was probably around that point.

That would surely get me to make another purchase.
