i would also suggest that once the dot is made, he cannot be retired until the end of his full plateau term. this would eliminate the dot from being retired and rebuilt every season.

+1 just heavily restrict it. Maybe 2 or 3 max per team. Only allow for certain positions, non-glamour perhaps. and make it really expensive.
