"This player can overpower his blocking assignment. Each level of Power Blocker gives a +2% bonus to pancaking his defender when holding a block when using the Run Block Blocking Focus and a +1% boost when using No Blocking Focus. Does not apply on special teams."

So a +2% that a pancake will occur?

Technically, that is not true.

Every event in a game has its outcome determined by rolls that have a randomization component but at their base are determined by your player's attributes, SAs, and VAs. That VA is saying that for every level of the VA, his Pancake roll gets increased by 2%. Thus, if his pancake roll was 100 prior to the VA, it would be 102 with 1 point in the VA (or 130 with 15 in the VA). The result of that increase could be a 2% increase in pancakes, or it could be a 50% increase in pancakes, or there could be no increase in pancakes. It is hard to predict the exact impact since there are other factors (primarily the defender's anti-pancake roll).

correct.

Whatever your player's chance is after all of his situational bonuses and penalties are applied, this VA adds a +2% to that. Then that final number rolls against the defender with all of his bonuses and penalties, and any +% that he has.

and of course... there's no pancake check at all without winning the hold block vs. break block roll.
