Now my question is should i be an ass and not release him or release him but lose a valuable player and hurt the team?

When in this situation I tell the person that once we find a replacement we can release him and if he wants to go sooner to help find one of equal or greater value. But also keep aware of the minor chem. it would hurt.

I would take 2 minutes to explain to him why you think he's currently better suited to play MLB at this time...flattery doesn't hurt. Then ask him why he thinks his dot is better suited at that OLB spot over the current guy. Open up the dialog a bit. Sometimes people that are newer or less-educated about the game could benefit from this. I've been on both sides of this over the last 30 seasons and I've never severed ties with a team or an agent on bad terms.

Now if you show that you're willing to work with him and he's still a jerk? Don't cut him unless you know you have a suitable replacement. If you notice after that decision that his player is playing badly (prob due to sabotaging his player tactics), then bench him or use him for FG Block or FG attempt teams ONLY, if nothing else to spare other dots the energy hit. Both the player and the team need to honor contracts. Maybe next time he'll be more clear about his preferences when being recruited.

You're not the ass. He is. Typically, I release players that don't want to be there. Just good policy IMO. If you do keep him aboard, just make sure that you keep an eye on him. Make sure he keeps his build open to you and that he doesn't do something odd like remove all his EQ.
