It would help to know what positions we're talking about and not just individual players.

OTs tend to give up sacks in bunches, so I'm guessing it might be worth giving max morale to your starters there.

qb kicker returner ..

salary just means a plus to morale, probably worthwhile to pay extra to anyone who relies on confidence--Kicker would be #1 on that list, followed by QB and to a lesser degree P and OLs, followed by anyone who touches the ball and everyone on D.

So pretty much everyone in one way or another, but Kicker, in my experience, definitely worth some more green.

I'd pay the mods to keep yello's threads where they belong, in faq/newb forum.
