is it better to get equipment from advanced store or just add ability and attribute bonuses to the standard equipment?

I think most people build their first two pieces and shop for their last one.

You can get by without having to build AEQ. It takes a shopping plan and some luck, but I've done it several times. In fact, with 2 of my dots, I just might be able to get a 4th, fully tricked out, AEQ piece. Won't know until late next season... but so far the math looks good.

I usually have pretty good luck shopping for 4 pieces, but not always. It's a risk.

Also, my thoughts on going for that "4th piece"... if you can't make it, max out the other three and turn your BT's into SP's. I know some don't think this way... and that's cool... but it's my style.

if you are going for only 3 AE. then multi-train longer

Late thought. Also remember that you don't have to wait (when shopping) for the "perfect piece". Say you roll a 5% break tackle piece for your RB. After you buy that piece, when you get to your equipment page, you can then add whatever +3 skill you want to the piece for a few extra BT's (this also works in reverse... you can get a +3 speed piece for the same HB and purchase the 5% break tackle).
