You could troll the suggestions threads of all the seasons' past and find that the idea of making it easier for new people coming into the game is an oft repeated post. Was seeing another one today and had this thought.
#1, Expand the PeeWee leagues by one league. This league would be "Learners League". Dots built there would automatically retire at end of season. Teams could NOT advance to another league. There would be playoffs and championship games, but no trophies or awards.
#2, make teams in this "Learners League" have a simple cost of 1000 flex. This purchase buys you the team and all 55 dots on the team. You have a limited number of seasons to be in the "Learners League" (just for sake of chucking out a number, say 2 seasons). After that you get 1/2 of your initial investment flex back (1/2 of the 1000) and are ready (hopefully) to play GLB for real.
I know you guys can come up with other angles or ideas to make this better, but it's a start. I also wonder if you simply couldn't do this on a game-by-game basis with nothing but generic level 5 dots. It would make good filler time for people coming into the league in the middle of a season and provide lessons and experience in the meantime while waiting for the next season to start. There's stuff here that, I'm sure, has SOME merit and should spark some thought (along with the usual "I hate everything and don't want nothing changed" crowd).
Thanks for listening.
