You could troll the suggestions threads of all the seasons' past and find that the idea of making it easier for new people coming into the game is an oft repeated post. Was seeing another one today and had this thought.
#1, Expand the PeeWee leagues by one league. This league would be "Learners League". Dots built there would automatically retire at end of season. Teams could NOT advance to another league. There would be playoffs and championship games, but no trophies or awards.
#2, make teams in this "Learners League" have a simple cost of 1000 flex. This purchase buys you the team and all 55 dots on the team. You have a limited number of seasons to be in the "Learners League" (just for sake of chucking out a number, say 2 seasons). After that you get 1/2 of your initial investment flex back (1/2 of the 1000) and are ready (hopefully) to play GLB for real.

I know you guys can come up with other angles or ideas to make this better, but it's a start. I also wonder if you simply couldn't do this on a game-by-game basis with nothing but generic level 5 dots. It would make good filler time for people coming into the league in the middle of a season and provide lessons and experience in the meantime while waiting for the next season to start. There's stuff here that, I'm sure, has SOME merit and should spark some thought (along with the usual "I hate everything and don't want nothing changed" crowd).
Thanks for listening.

Personally I don't want it to be easier to figure out. I think the fact that it takes time and advice from pros to get things together is a good thing. If everybody can be brought along right away then the playing field becomes too equalized and then the challenge is lost IMO. I'd rather the attractiveness of the game be expanded by features, such as trophies by position, for current members rather than try to grow significantly more via outsiders being given easy routes in. We all had to learn the ropes, they should too.

Besides, there are plenty of threads and friendly people to help new members out so long as they are willing to ask.

Why didn't you guys post against other suggestions for people that come into GLB in mid season? Because that's what this is really all about. And it's not an "Expansion of PeeWee"... I used the PeeWee format style to showcase the idea for a "Learners League". And, again, this isn't about CPU teams or more teams... it's a very limited and STATIC league where people that come into GLB in mid season can jump right in and do SOME of the stuff that the rest of us do, thereby learning before they start into a full regular seasons. That's why I put forth the rules that I did as well.

If anything they should get rid of PW. That place is a graveyard.

I think this isn't a bad idea.
But do GLB still care our suggestion?

Hate to lose things but I agree. Maybe changing it over to something like my suggestion... where new people coming into GLB, after the start of/before the end of a season, can go and be dot owners and team owners (mostly) on GLB's dime (make it a small cost of flex... cuz players and teams there should have no place to go). Right now anyone coming into the game mid season usually posts in the forum about their dots... only to find us old-timers constantly saying, "sorry you spent flex... recycle player at end of season and start over again." I'm just looking for answers and this was the gist of my post. Is it a perfect solution? Hell if I know... that's why I stuck it out here. Yawl got tweaks to make this work better, post 'em. Got a better idea? Post it. It's all good.

Have different seasons start at different times. We are out of Beta so there wont be anymore major changes.
