I'm just waiting for the day when I try and log into GLB and it shows a white screen that says "It's ova sucka's"

Actually a decent idea. The biggest problem with this game is that you have an 8 day window every 60 days within which to make a player. If GLB wants to be sustainable and grow long term they have to address this issue.

Then I would post that on the signup page rather than change things inside the game. Thing is, you wanna play fantasy football and then say you wanna sign up people in December... and make it equal to those that signed up in July? I play several on-line fantasy games like this one and this is not the only site where seasons are played (or campaigns that last for months). And I've played in some where you can come into the middle of a season... and it sucks like hell. Also, you would think you'll lose people just because it's mid-season and they can't play... then how do you explain the wild success of other fantasy sports games? Yes, this is a little different dog... but not different enough to say there's no comparison.
If this is all about making it better for new players (which is the only reason to even consider implementing this suggestion) then either have enough leagues to stagger the seasons so that there's always a new season starting shortly... or give new players a place to go to build and learn in the meantime... before the start of the next season. And WARN them on the signup page of where things are at. I signed mid-season when I first got here and just hang around until the start of the next season. I would've STILL came to play but would have waited for a better starting time than the one I wound up in. A nice, early, email from GLB telling me "Start of new season in 2 weeks! Sign up now for football!!!" would've been fine.

Actually yes it IS different enough to not be comparable to fantasy football leagues.

If people want to play fantasy football, they know when the NFL season starts and that is when they are looking to find a league, before the NFL season starts.

But come late August who knows where we would be in GLB?

And people wandering in at other times are not going to be normal FFBallers because they would not be seeking a fantasy game mid or post season.

Regular Fantasy Football games are only joinable pre-season not because that is the ideal gaming model but because that is the ONLY game model possible when tracking a real league.

Also, you make it sound like its a turrible thing to step in mid season and "be as good as" other dots. Who cares? Its Rookie season level 1-15 dots. And they are NOT 100% as good, since they would not be able to have those post season boosts (would be nice if they could but two sets of boosts per season is a NGTH so I do not suggest it here). And they lose stats for those who care about those things. No Rook MVP for these dots. So its not quite as good and its not a big deal that its close. But it might be a big deal to GLB in terms of new player retention.

Which is WHY I said POST it on the sign up page (which is what other sites do). Along with sending emails (also something you could sign up for, as done by other sites) which will inform you of WHEN it's time to sign up for the next season.
Read it all, yaller1

post on the signup page you have 8 days out of 60 to make a player that will matter ..then you compare it to a fantasy football
..... after that no reason to go further

You have no business mind that is for sure

then yello1 actually makes a good response to you and then you pick one sentence out of his response and answer with this
